Domestic Violence
We have developed comprehensive curricular materials targeted for a broad range of learners using the expertise of professionals throughout the state and the nation.

The curriculum has been reviewed and approved by a state advisory group that consists of experts from health, criminal justice, victim advocacy, and social services.

The curriculum is organized into the following topics:
  • Prevalence
  • Dynamics
  • Identification
  • Assessment
  • Intervention
  • Legal Responsibilities
  • Forensic Evaluation
  • Impact of Domestic Violence on Children
  • Teen Dating Violence
  • The Batterer

Each topic contains a series of learning objectives that may be simple and concrete or more advanced and abstract in nature. Each learning objective has well-cited, science-based content that constitutes the Instructor Guide accompanied by appropriate teaching materials such as PowerPoint presentations, Handouts, Videos and Learning Exercises. Courses can be modified for working health professionals, students in the health professions, social service providers, or criminal justice professionals.
How the Curriculum is Delivered
CCFMTC organizes and presents trainings throughout the year in different locations. CCFMTC also collaborates with other institutions and organizations to create conferences, presentations, and provides guest lecturers or panelists. Instruction can be designed to meet the target audience and their specific learning goals.

CCFMTC has identified and fostered a team of health professionals with expertise in domestic violence. Senior faculty are able to customize curricular materials to meet local educational needs and provide standardized training with consistent information throughout the state.
