Fourteen (14) of the total 32 credit hours of training are delivered on-line through the University of California Davis (UCD) Extension program website, and 18 hours are provided through traditional classroom training. The online program covers child sexual abuse epidemiology, mandated child abuse reporting requirements, service delivery models, developmental anogenital anatomy, use of the California Cal OES Forensic Medical Report 925 Form (for non-acute exams performed over 72 hours since the last incident) and Cal OES Forensic Medical Report 930 Form (for acute exams performed within 72 hours of the last incident). These forms, instructions and protocol can be downloaded from this website. Classroom training covers patient history taking, examining prepubertal children and adolescents, physical findings and their significance, documentation and conclusions.
Participants are required to complete the on-line component before being admitted to the classroom training.
Students are expected to attend and participate in the entire course. You will not be allowed to attend the class if you arrive more than 20 minutes after the class begins. Attendees will not receive Continuing Education credit if more than 20 minutes late to class; no partial credit can be awarded.
Provider approved by the California Board of Registered Nursing, provider number CEP 15893, for 32 contact hours for Registered Nurses, Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants.
A full refund of training registration can be given if cancellation is received more than two weeks before the first day of training. If cancellation is made less than two weeks before the first day of training, an administrative fee of $50 will be withheld.
Notification of Course Cancellation
If course is cancelled by CCFMTC, students will be notified via e-mail and telephone at the address and phone number provided at the time of online registration. Registration fees will be refunded to participants.
Registration Fee Refund
A full refund of training registration fee will be made if cancellation is received two weeks or more before the first day of training. If cancellation is made less than two weeks before the first day of training, an administrative fee of $50 will be withheld.
Refund Policy for Non-Attendance
No registration fee refund will be given if student fails to contact the CCFMTC prior to the start of any training.
